We’ve known Delmy for many years from her time at the COCAFELOL co-operative in Ocotopeque, where one of our key supply partners, Selin Recinos, is a member. A pioneer in the Honduran coffee industry, she created AMPROCAL, a women’s coffee cooperative; has been president for IWCA (International Women’s Coffee Alliance) in Honduras; part owns Finca Liquidambar; and runs her own farm - Finca La Fortuna. The farm itself is fourth generation, handed down to 10 siblings from her father
This is our third season of buying a range of Delmy’s coffees, including this washed Parainema arabica (a varietal that performs well in Honduras.) For the cold, wet months, we’ve roasted this a little darker for a deeper flavour.
