Beneficio Brumas del Zurqui (based in Heredia, Central Valley) is a micro-mill owned and managed by fourth generation coffee producer, Juan Ramon Alvarado Rodriguez. This is a 100% Caturra that has been naturally processed and sourced from Finca Don Jose.
We missed out on coffees from our seasonal favourite, Las Lajas, in 2024 so we needed to find something on the cupping table that delivered the layers of fruity, winey acidity that we love in the best Costa Rica naturals. Brumas del Zurqui both a micromill and farm, with 6 hectares and varietals spanning Villa Sarchi, SL28, Bourbon and Gesha.
