Since setting up Dark Woods Coffee ten years ago, we have committed to giving back to the communities we connect with, both locally, and globally, supporting coffee producing communities. Over the years, we have made donations and provided in-kind and volunteer support to community groups and charities locally and in Ethiopia, Peru and Panama.
We have been formulating our social and environmental priorities for the future, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, creating our ambitious Vision 2030 Strategy. A key part of delivering our Vision 2030 goals is the creation of the Dark Woods Foundation, a UK registered charity, set up with clear objectives to promote and support sustainable development in the UK and globally.
The Foundation is our new way of giving back to the communities and producers we rely on, locally and around the World. It will have the resources and capability to support innovative programmes that contribute to the global sustainability goals that we have signed up to.
This is an exciting new chapter in our long-term goal to help rethink the World of coffee.
