Yemen is among the most historically significant coffee-producing regions, offering the benefits of high altitude, rugged terraces and heritage arabica varietals. Many Yemeni coffees are sun-dried naturals, boasting fruity, chocolaty, and full-bodied flavour profiles. One particularly renowned source of Yemeni coffee is Haraz, known for producing “Mokha Haraz.” Situated between Sana’a and Al-Hudaydah, this mountainous region is celebrated for its especially high altitudes.
For our classic Yemeni Mokha coffees, we proudly collaborate with Abdulrahman Saeed and his Mokha not Mocha operation (formerly known as Sabcomeed), a partnership that began in 2019. Mokha not Mocha has an inclusive approach forging partnerships between producers and roasters.
We’re especially proud of this nano-lot from Fawaz Ali Wahab, which earned a prestigious 2 Star Great Taste Award in both 2023 and 2022. The ripe coffee cherries were meticulously sun-dried on raised beds.
