About Black Hill
Black Hill is our newly award-winning (3 Star Great Taste Awards 2024), modern interpretation of deep, rich espresso flavours. Inspired by our popular Deer Hill recipe, it’s named after one of the highest points in our local moorland scenery.
We blend speciality-grade arabica with a “Kaapi Royale” specialty robusta from the Harley Estate in India and fully develop the roast, to produce a uniquely rich and full-bodied coffee. Sweet and satisfying with milk, complex and smooth without, Black Hill delivers familiar flavours without compromise.

How to brew
Black Hill is best brewed as an espresso. As a darker roast, you could start with a reasonably low dose (16g, but whatever suits your machine best), and work on a 1:2.5 ratio, making a balanced espresso weighing about 40g.
Tasting notes
Oh Black Hill, where rock meets sky and clouds brew strong; dark as deepest pools and smooth like midnight water.
