About Lamplight Decaf
We always choose single estate coffes from Central or South America that have been "Swiss Water Processed". This means they are decaffeinated in fresh water without the use of harsh chemicals often associated with cheaper decaffeination processes. Removing caffeine this way not only lowers the bitterness but also imparts a rich, cake-like sweetness with hints of dried fruit.
Delicious brewed in every method, Lamplight is a coffee without caffeine or compromise.
How to brew
Lamplight is a great decaf option for both a mid roast filter coffee or espresso. As an espresso, we would probably start with a reasonably high dose (18g, but whatever suits your machine best), and work on a 1:2.5 ratio, making a balanced espresso weighing about 45g. Shoot it shorter if you prefer a richer body and more intense acidity. For filter, we recommend using 60g per litre of water. It’s the industry standard for a reason, delivering a rich balanced flavour with most coffees.
